Vtuber and Stuff

Posted by TonicOrange - 1 day ago

Hello~

For people wondering where i disappeared to, i was working on a Vtuber model for fun. Also i got hit pretty hard with some health stuff. All an all I wish i was able to do more but my doctor is kind of an idiot so things are taking longer then they should. I'm for sure getting a new doc after this. For those who are curious about my Vtuber project i made a bluesky specifically for that (https://bsky.app/profile/tonicseal.bsky.social). Although since i plan to stream my drawing on twitch there wont be any 18+ content over there, its purely SFW.

The idea behind the character was to make a selkie, and i think it turned out well. An updated model is coming soon with more mouth, eye and hair articulation when I'm feeling better. But I think as my first ever model it turned out really good.

Oh my dog selkie rep!! They are one of my top favorite mythical creatures but barely anyone knows what they are! You are a man of fine taste my fellow selkie enjoyer :3
[Get well soon]

tbh I only stumbled across selkies because i loved seals and was curious if there were any seal monster girls out there. It lead me down a Irish lore rabbit hole and they ended up being one of my favorites. Oddly not the first time ive found myself drawn to Irish folklore, they have some truly wondrous things to learn about. I find that in fantasy I'm quite drawn to Irish inspired settings. Tho i wish they would feature selkies LOL

@TonicOrange That's cool! I find a lot of things just by falling down a rabbit hole too XD
How I discovered selkies was a movie that I had watched years ago, it's called "Song of the Sea" It's an absolutely beautiful film both visually and story wise. If you like selkies as much as I do you'll love it [you can watch it on Netflix btw if your interested]
Also yeah I couldn't agree with you more, Irish folklore is so intriguing and wondrous, it really knows how to draw people in.

It's funny you mention 'Song of the Sea', i actually watched that movie for the first time last week. It's very cute.

@TonicOrange I'm glad you liked it! It's one my favorite movies! :D
