Communities

Posted by TonicOrange - June 8th, 2022

I wonder how people find communities of artists. I'd love to do art things with other ppl but the groups I'm a part of aren't very interested. finding groups on twitter is difficult because the site designed to isolate you and instead push you towards famous people, and maybe its just me but newgrounds is lacking in social features making meeting new people somewhat difficult (unless im missing something). It kinda makes me miss Deviant Art of all things, because they had a nice group feature that allowed for little pocket communities, unfortunately DA isn't great for NSFW lol

Well, what can you do i suppose.

obedece a la morsa. Look, you have been here since 2014 and managed to achieve 172 followers, you have few reviews, few news post, few forums post and i never saw you commenting on other people news. i have 39 followers and i started just last month (it's about 25% you got on 8 years in one month), i met a lot of interesting artists, i'm even doing some business with them. Aparently the only difference between me and you is that i keep seeking for leads, always commenting on people stuff, making reviews, making some news, reply on the forums, i'm always looking for meet new people, many don't want to be friend nor make anything with me, but i met a lot of cool people like that

You misunderstand I'm not looking for followers, just curious where people meet other artists. It's OK to be proud of your fan count but i really don't care, i just post for fun. But you make a good point as far as community interaction goes, although interactions like that aren't quite what I'm looking for, I should probly be more involved in the community.

@TonicOrange ok, obedece a la morsa
